When buying a used car go in with a good attitude?

Let me tell you one of the biggest mistakes you can make when you come on a car lot. Your Attitude!!! The worst thing you can do is come on the lot and be rude. No matter what the last salemen did to you or the horror story your friend told you. It doesn't get you anywhere trying to buy a car. Let me tell you a little secret, A dealership isn't going to shutdown if you don't buy a car from them, so being rude and hostile is either going to get you blowed out of the dealership(asked to leave), or they are going to try to make the biggest profit they can and not back down on it one bit. The worst thing you can have is a pissed off saleman who don't care if you buy the car or not.
The best thing to do is go on the lot calm and polite. If the dealership is a circus, don't let it bother you. Don't get your blood pressure up, they make these things(cars) everyday, you don't have to buy it from a circus. Just stay polite and thankful for the salesmen help. Ask the questions you want to know, filter out the lies from the truth(ha ha), go on a test-drive, if it fits your needs, then go inside and start the negogatition process. Hopefully you've researched the car you want and you know what it is worth. While negogating stay calm, stay calm, stay calm, this is where the dealership can piss you off. Just tell them what you'll pay for the car, some dealerships will accepted your offer or come real close(these are the nice dealerships), and some dealerships will keep you there 2 hours and keep coming back with ridiculous prices and excuses of why theirs cost so much more than your research. Stay calm but firm on your price. After about 3 or 4 trips back and forth, if they're not where you want to be on the price just politely get up, thank them for their time and leave. They will either stop playing games and sell you the car, or they will let you leave and call you tomorrow. In rare cases they actually can't sell you the car for that price you offered, but if it was a fair price then some other dealership will be able to.
Just remember, Do not be rude and hateful, It doesn't get you anywhere
